About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to quotes, bookings and work provided by Acme Painting & Decorating(“we”, “us”, “our”). By requesting a quote or engaging us, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes and estimates are provided free of charge and are an indication of cost based on the information you give us. They are not a binding contract until accepted in writing by both parties. A quote may be adjusted if the scope of work changes, or if conditions are found on site that weren’t apparent at the time of quoting — we’ll always discuss any change with you before proceeding.

Bookings

When you book an on-site estimate or schedule work, please give us reasonable notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. We’ll do the same. We ask for safe and reasonable access to the work areas on the agreed dates.

Our work

We carry out all work with due care and skill, using quality preparation and materials. We’ll keep the site tidy and treat your property with respect. Where a manufacturer’s product warranty applies to paints or coatings, we’ll pass on the relevant details. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your accepted quote. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable by the due date shown. For larger projects we may agree a deposit or staged payments in advance.

Liability

We carry insurance and take care to avoid damage. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing defects, issues beyond our reasonable control, or indirect or consequential loss. This does not limit any rights you have that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
